Multi accelerates development of Forum Prešov in Slovakia Multi Czech Republic/Slovakia recently signed an agreement with Tesco Slovakia for a future right to purchase Tesco’s existing building and site in the inner-city of Prešov. Multi owns the adjacent land and plans to assemble both sites for the development of Forum Prešov, a shopping and leisure centre in this key secondary city in eastern Slovakia. Construction is now scheduled to begin in 2017 ahead for an opening end 2018. Forum Prešov will be Multi’s second shopping centre development in Slovakia. Just last year Multi opened its Forum shopping centre in the city centre of Poprad.
Located in the centre of the city, Forum Prešov will provide local residents and visitors with a modern shopping and leisure facility. With 31,000 sqm of lettable space, it will contain over 120 retail, leisure and service units spread over three floors. As well as a supermarket and international retail chains, Forum Prešov will also contain boutique stores, restaurants with outdoor terraces, cafés, a multiplex cinema, a large fitness centre and space for children. The centre, which will contain 500 parking spaces, will be easily accessible by both car and public transport.
