Multi Corporation, the leading pan-European platform for integrated real estate management services, has reached agreement on a lease for 8,700 sqm (94,000 sq ft) of space with UWV (Government Employee Insurance Agency) at P.J. Oudweg 4, also known as the World Trade Centre in Almere, the Netherlands.

The lease represents another example of how Multi is leveraging its vertically integrated asset management capabilities to expand into the office and residential sectors, delivering everything from property management and leasing through to development, repositioning and conversions. While retail remains its focus, Multi operates several offices across Europe, independently or as a component of a mixed-use development.

UWV is a Dutch government body dedicated to preventing unemployment and incapacity for work. UWV also provides reintegration services to help individuals return to work and supports employers on all issues relating to employment.

The World Trade Centre in Almere was completed in 2010 and designed by internationally renowned Dam & Partners Architects. It is comprised of three interconnected buildings of 6, 12 and 32 floors respectively, totalling 33,000 sqm (355,000 sq ft) of leasable space. The building is ideally positioned next to the train station, offering accessibility by bike or car.

Multi was appointed to manage the building in 2023, with a focus on raising the occupancy rate and stabilising the building. UWV has signed for a long-term lease and is expected to move in by Q1 2026, bringing the building’s total occupancy to c.80%.

The owner and Multi were advised and supported by Zuiver Almere Vastgoed Adviseurs in collegial collaboration with DRS Makelaars and JLL. UWV was advised and supported by AREA Occupier Solutions.

Arnaud du Pont, Managing Director of Multi Property Management Netherlands, commented: “This lease reflects the strong demand in the Netherlands for high-quality, sustainable, and strategically located office space, which remains in short supply. It is also a further example of how Multi is leveraging its broad expertise and vertically integrated model to deliver an industry leading service in the office sector, which has been a key area of growth in recent years. UWV’s decision to move into this centrally located office illustrates the attractiveness of top-quality office space, and we look forward to supporting them in this important move.”
