Roercenter

The Roercenter is a shopping passage that opened in 2003 in Roermond. The shopping centre includes shops, a Q-Park parking garage and 28 apartments. The original plan consisted of a large parking garage to add much needed parking in Roermond. However, this plan was cancelled in the early 90s due to the area’s listed status, which meant it was not possible to demolish a number of buildings. A later plan included a smaller parking garage (415 parking spots) and a shopping passage. The listed buildings were incorporated into the plan and repurposed for retail and catering, creating today’s highly popular Roercenter.
