Multi Corporation, the pan-European retail platform that manages Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin, today announces a significant investment of € 16.5 million to upgrade the centre’s interior design.
The upgrade works, which are the first of their kind since Blanchardstown opened in 1996, are already underway with a target completion in 2021 and will be carried out in conjunction with the ongoing extensions to include a new Aldi and a flagship JD Sports.
The interior works include new tiling, ceiling and wall finishes to give the centre an entirely new look and feel. The works also include upgraded toilet facilities with enhanced provisions for disabled customers and parent and child facilities.
Pat Nash, Managing Director Multi Ireland & UK, says: “We are delighted to be making this significant investment of € 16.5 million in interior upgrades for the centre. And in keeping with our sustainability programme, all new lighting will be energy efficient. In total, the works will see the replacement and upgrade of 11,000 sq.m of centre interiors. It is going to totally transform the look and feel of the centre.”
“The upgrades will significantly enhance the overall customer experience. And to ensure we are not disrupting anyone, construction work will take place outside shopping hours.”
