Multi Corporation, the leading pan-European platform for integrated real estate management services, announces the appointment of Elmar Schoonbrood as full time Board Member and Co-CEO, alongside current Board Member Steven Poelman, with immediate effect.

Elmar previously served as Managing Director at Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, in London where he managed Blackstone’s European and Turkish retail investments. He was also responsible for overseeing Multi Corporation for Blackstone since joining the firm in 2014. The appointment will allow Multi Corporation to further develop and grow the business and meet its ambitious plans for the future.

Full Biography

Elmar Schoonbrood was appointed as Board Member of Multi Corporation in June 2021. He has more than 17 years’ experience in the European real estate and real estate debt industry. Previously, he served as Managing Director at Blackstone in London where he managed Blackstone’s European retail investments in Europe and Turkey.

Before joining Blackstone in 2014, Elmar headed up the European non-performing loan workout team at Oaktree Capital Management and prior to that he headed up the European loan workout team at Morgan Stanley (CMBS Special Servicing). In addition, Elmar worked in a variety of real estate and structured finance positions at Credit Suisse, Fitch Ratings and IPD. All functions were based in London. Elmar holds an MA in Real Estate from Kingston University and a BA in Business Administration from Fontys University of Applied Science.
