Magnolia Park in Wroclaw, Poland, draws record crowds following opening of new extension

Multi’s Magnolia Park shopping centre, the largest retail complex in Wroclaw, Poland, recorded over 130,000 visitors in the four days following the opening of its new extension on the 19th of March. Multi owns the shopping centre and is responsible for the mall management.

Magnolia Park

Wroclaw has some 600,000 inhabitants and is one of the most dynamic cities in western Poland. Magnolia Park, located 1.5 km from the city centre, in the western part of Wroclaw, has always been one of the largest enclosed shopping centres in Poland, with a comprehensive range of shops and amenities. The new extension has some 40 new stores and over 22,000 m2 of new retail space. The shopping centre now has over 100,000 m2 of retail space and 225 shops, restaurants, and cafes. More than 96% of the leasable area is let. As the trademark amenity of the complex, the front entrance park area has also been fully renovated, much to the delight of the crowds of customers looking for a respite from a busy day of shopping and events.

Increase in visitors

Multi organised four days of events to celebrate the opening of the extension, which resulted in a 20% increase in visitors on Thursday and Friday in the openings week. Traffic was even higher in the weekend, with over 40,000 people each day. “We would normally only see these traffic levels during the December holiday season. All the new stores have been well received and the popularity of Magnolia Park continues to grow,” said Mall Manager Tomasz Waszkiewicz.

National and international brands

Retailers opening their first stores in the region include LC Waikiki fashion, a Samsung Brand Store, New Balance, New Look, The North Face, City Sport, and 7 Store. Additionally, Magnolia Park now hosts the market flagship stores for Smyk, Pull&Bear, Bershka and Reserved, as well as three new restaurants: Pizza Hut, Oh Sushi, and Kuchnia Marche.
